According to Ringside News, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims readers told him that Australian advertisements are listing Michaels as the referee for the final battle between Undertaker and The Game.
The Heartbreak Kid officiated the two legends’ last match at WrestleMania 28 inside Hell in a Cell.
Taker won the ‘End of an Era’ battle which saw both future Hall of Famers destroying each other with steel chairs, steps and a sledgehammer.
After the match, HBK and The Deadman picked Triple H up and got a standing ovation from 78,363 fans at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Michaels returned to RAW last Monday night and predicted that The King of Kings will finally beat Undertaker on October 6 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia because he has a lot more left in the tank than his opponent.
Then Undertaker’s eerie gong echoed around the arena and The Demon of Death Valley made a shocking return as he emerged from the smoke and accused The Showstopper of still feeling bitter after being forced to retire.
The Phenom ended the Hall of Famer’s career in 2010 as he beat him in their second straight WrestleMania bout and extended his legendary winning streak at the Show of Shows.
Michaels insists he remains retired because he is a man of his word and wants to show respect to The Undertaker.
The seven-time world champion, however, wasn’t convinced and claimed The Showstopper has stayed retired because he is afraid to get back in the ring with him.
The ex-WWE Champion seemed to be goading HBK on as he threatened to destroy him if he ever comes out of retirement and teased another WrestleMania showdown between the two icons.
He said: “Respect? Is that what you’re saying? Is it respect or is it fear?
“Because if you had ever chosen to come out of retirement there would’ve been only one person that you’d come for. Me.
“And make no mistake about it, I would put you down all over again.
“You know it, I know it, they know it, and there’s one other thing you know. In Melbourne, Australia I’m gonna put your buddy Triple H down again.”
Triple H will return next week on RAW to address the confrontation between Michaels and Taker.
