Ghost news: British landlady reveals spirit smashing glasses

Video has emerged from The Star Inn pub of Wroxall, Isle of Wight, which appears to show a supernatural being.

In the clip, a pint glass can be seen on a table.

There is no-one else at the table, which is the centre of the CCTV shot.

But things take a terrifying twist with a sudden movement.

The glass appears to start sliding towards the edge of the table without any help.

Continuing to move, it suddenly falls over the edge and spills the contents.

In another clip, the kitchen can be seen with glasses piled high.

There are two glasses on top of a box – but then there is only one.

A glass is sent toppling, hitting a pizza box before dropping to the floor.

GHOST: Toni Brennan, landlady at The Star Inn, spotted some very strange activity on CCTV (Pic: DS/ Penn News)

These clips were captured by Toni Brennan, landlady of The Star Inn.

The first incident occurred in October and the second was on Christmas Eve.

One explanation of the strange occurrences could be the presence of ghosts, she claims.

The pub is around 200 years old by Toni’s estimation and has faced its share of misfortune, including a fire in 1981 and near-destruction by a Nazi bomb in the Second World War.

And even though Toni is sceptical about ghosts, she admits she has no other theories.

“Previous employees and our locals have been saying the pub is haunted since our first day here”

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star Online, Toni said: “My reaction was actually to laugh because of the last incident.

“I’ve been trying to find a rational explanation but so far I’ve been unable to.”

But regulars at the pub believe is it haunted, Toni added.

“Previous employees and our locals have been saying the pub is haunted since our first day here,” she continued.

“One of the ladies that used to work here said she always heard people walking about when the pub was empty and she’d heard her name called when she was the only one there.

“Another said a whisky bottle literally came flying off its optic and landed on the bar the right way up.”

“It took almost a year before anything actually happened though.”

This is not the first time ghostly sightings have been made recently.

A bloke saw his beer fall off a table earlier this month.

And a fox was spooked by something terrifying.
