The former head of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has admitted the infamous videos of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) are “eyebrow-raising”.
Since being leaked in 2017, the three UFO videos have become some of the most famous sightings in history.
Arguably the most-publicized encounter occurred in 2004 when fighter jets from the USS Nimitz witnessed a strange craft moving at unheralded speed.
The video from the Nimitz encounter can be seen above while the other two clips were separate sightings of UAPs in 2015.
The Pentagon officially released the videos earlier this year to clear up misconceptions on “whether or not there is more to the videos”, but there is still no explanation as to what they could be.
And former Director of the CIA, John Brennan says he is “leaving his mind open” as to what the objects seen in the videos could be.
Speaking on the Conversations with Tyler podcast, he said: “I’ve seen some of those videos from Navy pilots, and I must tell you that they are quite eyebrow-raising when you look at them.”
One theory he has for the objects is that they could have been the result of weather phenomena.
But, when pressed on what he thought caused the events, he said: “I think some of the phenomena we’re going to be seeing continues to be unexplained and might, in fact, be some type of phenomenon that is the result of something that we don’t yet understand and that could involve some type of activity that some might say constitutes a different form of life.”
The former CIA boss added that it is “presumptuous and arrogant” for people to believe there is no other form of life in the universe.
UFO enthusiasts and military experts have long questioned whether there is in fact more footage out there.
Since the New York Times released the footage in 2017, personnel aboard the Nimitz and surrounding ships have come forward to share their experience.
Chad Underwood, who filmed the Nimitz encounter, said the object was not from the military in his first interview last year.
And Petty Officer Jason Turner claimed a clearer video showed that it had legs protruding from it.
