And to fuel an ever-growing fire, an outlandish video has emerged claiming to show a photo of Tupac in his 40s, thought to have been recently taken.
The clip begins with an onscreen title, reading: “Just a few days ago, the leading investigators in the 2pac is alive case have made a breakthrough, confirming 2Pac is alive.
“A phone image of Tupac Alive and well in his 40s has been leaked to the public.
“With experts revealing that the source of the phone image comes from South Africa.”
The photo shows a man, bearing striking resemblances to the singer, taking a selfie-styled photo.
However, due to the photo being taken during nighttime, half of the singer’s face wasn’t visible.
After being uploaded to YouTube last week, more than 5,000 people have watched the clip.
But viewers were split on who was actually seen in the image.
One person said: “Without a doubt that is definitely 2pac OMG.”
A second commented: “Look at his shoulders, that’s a healthy Pac.”
While a third added: “What a joke, that could be anyone.”
