15:20 UPDATE: Rangers exit?
Alfredo Morelos will have scared off “one or two clubs” with his latest show of indiscipline – but he also will have brought the potential transfer fee the club recoup for him down, Ally McCoist claims.
“Clearly he has let himself down and the team down too with his disciplinary record,” said McCoist. “Getting sent off five times in one season just isn’t good enough.
“This could be the player of the year we’re talking about, though, so it’s a dilemma.
“The number of goals he has scored this year has been great and some of his performances have been fantastic – but he clearly has a discipline problem. Steven knows that.
“Watching his interview after the Celtic game, I could sympathise with him because I knew where he was.
“He has defended Morelos at times but felt he had overstepped the mark that day and I could not agree with him more.
“It’s now time for Alfredo Morelos to take responsibility for his own actions. If he hasn’t learned from his mistakes – particularly the one in the Old Firm game – then there is probably no chance for him.
“I’m very hopeful he has learned from it, but the fact of the matter is that there will be one or two clubs who will have been put off by his disciplinary record and his value will have dropped a little bit.”

14:15 UPDATE: Chelsea deal rests on FFP
Chelsea selling Tiemoue Bakayoko to Milan rests on UEFA’s investigation into the Italian club’s Financial Fair Play stance.
UEFA have confirmed they will open a fresh case on Milan looking into FFP irregularities from the 2017/18 season.
Bakayoko – currently on loan at the San Siro – can join Milan from Chelsea on a permanent deal worth around £30m at the end of the season.
But FFP may scupper that deal, admits sporting strategy and development director Paolo Maldini.
“We are super happy with him, we will try to redeem him. It will depend on the FFP and the final championship position.”

As reported earlier this week, Camacho appears ready to leave Anfield having already snubbed terms.

Louis van Gaal has urged Ajax sensation Matthijs de Ligt to join either Manchester City or Barcelona.
“De Ligt at Juventus? I think De Ligt can play in any competition,” the former United manager told Ziggo Sport.
“In Italy they are the masters of defence, so he can best develop there.
“If I had the chance I would go to Barcelona. They have central defenders who are not too good, so he will play there.
“Or I would go to Manchester City. I don’t think the central defenders are that great either, so he’ll play there too.”

09:33 UPDATE: Benitez to Celtic
Celtic moving for Rafa Benitez this summer could well be on the cards, reckons Johan Mjallby.
Neil Lennon is in temporary charge of the Hoops but Mjallby is open to seeing his old side push for another top coach.
“Why not?” said Mjallby. “You can’t talk Celtic down.
“Obviously, Rangers have had difficult years but they are massive clubs and either one of them should win the league every year.
“But even if you have been the manager of big clubs in other major leagues, the pressure you have as a Celtic manager is enormous.
“Martinez has never won a league title, for example.
“Villas-Boas and Benitez have done, but you have the chance to win trophies every year at Parkhead.
“The ambition should also be to make Celtic great in Europe again.”

09:00 UPDATE: Hazard wants exit
Thorgan Hazard’s wish to leave the Bundesliga has been confirmed, with Liverpool interested in the playmaker.
Hazard – the younger brother of Chelsea star Eden Hazard – is ready to leave Borussia Monchengladbach.
It was claimed earlier this week that the Belgian was keen on remaining in Germany.
But Gladbach sporting director Max Erbel says this is not the case.
“Thorgan has informed us that he doesn’t want to extend his contract and that he wants to leave the club in the summer to take the next step.
“I’ve heard this statement 15 times in the last 10 years as really great players have left us. That’s the way it is for us.
“We’ll have to see where his path will continue. I don’t know whether it will be at BVB (Borussia Dortmund), who are constantly being mentioned, or at Atletico Madrid, Liverpool or another club.”

The reporter pushed the French World Cup winner more directly on a move to Real.

But Milan are also in the running for Fernandes, who has a £90m release clause that United will likely not have to match to bring Sporting to the negotiating table.
07:22 UPDATE: Arsenal target rejects deal
Arsenal still have hope of signing PSG youngster Christopher Nkunku after the 21-year-old rejected a new contract.
PSG want to lock midfielder Nkunku down to a new contract to stop one of their European rivals snapping him up.

07:14 UPDATE: Rangers issue
Rangers can re-sign Ryan Kent from Liverpool for the 2019/20 season – but only on loan.
Ally McCoist reckons the £12m asking price set by Liverpool is too high for a permanent deal.
“Kent has been fabulous this season,” the Scot said.
“Since coming back from his injury lay-off he’s been terrific and for me he was the best player on the park against Celtic.
“I’d imagine if there’s any way Steven (Gerrard) could keep him, he’d be desperate to do so.
“However, it looks like another loan deal is the only way it could happen. His performances might just have priced Rangers out the market for him.
“I might be wrong but I think Rangers’ best chance of keeping him would be a loan deal for next season.”
