Neymar has emerged as Real Madrid’s priority transfer target despite only signing for PSG from Barcelona in a £200million deal back in the summer.
The Brazilian is wanted at the Bernabeu amid concerns over Los Blancos’ current attack, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema all enduring frustrating campaigns.
Neymar’s Galactico image appeals to club president Florentino Perez and it has recently been reported the 70-year-old is “obsessed” with bringing the 25-year-old back to Spain’s top flight.
But Spanish website Don Balon claims PSG have threatened Real with two transfers if Zinedine Zidane’s side keep pushing for Neymar’s signature.
The Ligue 1 giants were furious with Barcelona back in the summer.
Ernesto Valverde’s determination to snap up Marco Verratti rankled with Unai Emery’s men who then retaliated in the most emphatic circumstances.
PSG started a huge charm offensive towards Neymar and, after weeks of heavy speculation, were able to snap him up.
And Don Balon say PSG have threatened Real Madrid with similar consequences.
It is said the club are ready to try and lure one of Isco or Marco Asensio away from the Bernabeu.
Both players are popular figures among the fans – despite enduring indifferent campaigns.
Isco started the season in fine form but his displays in recent weeks have left much to be desired.
And the same can be said of Asensio, who is below the struggling Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema in the pecking order.
However, speaking yesterday, Neymar insisted his PSG adventure has only just started.
“I want to enter into the history of the club and to make PSG grow,” he told the club’s official website.
“With Cavani, Mbappe or even Di Maria, we have several decisive players who also work to create chances, score and win games.
“We speak the language of football, which is unique, intelligent players all speak the same language on the field.”
