That’s according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, who claims the two teams have reached an agreement which will see DeRozan and Leonard swap teams.
And it is suggested several other players and assets are involved on the trade from both sides.
DeRozan was reportedly told by Toronto president Masai Ujiri regarding the trade overnight and has the 28-year-old has also spoken with long-time team-mate Kyle Lowry.
However, Leonard is said to not have been told about the deal as of yet.
When news broke this morning that the Raptors were in advanced talks with the Spurs regarding a trade, DeRozan posted a cryptic post on Instagram suggesting he was furious with Toronto’s lack of loyalty after signing a five-year contract in 2016.
He wrote: “Be told one thing & the outcome another. “Can’t trust em. Ain’t no loyalty in this game.
“Sell you out quick for a little bit of nothing…
“Soon you’ll understand…”
