BOURNEMOUTH 0-0 MANCHESTER UNITED

Bournemouth XI: Ramsdale, Smith, Steve Cook, Ake, Rico, Harry Wilson, Billing, Lerma, Fraser, King, Wilson

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Young, McTominay, Fred, Pereira, James, Martial, Rashford

BOURNEMOUTH 0-0 MANCHESTER UNITED

16: Penalty appeal! Bournemouth warming to the task now and feel they should have been awarded a spot-kick when Ryan Fraser goes down under a challenge from Ashley Young. Quick VAR check and nothing is given.

13: Callum Wilson has the ball on the left and picks out Jefferson Lerma on the edge of the box. The midfielder brings it down but there’s Fred to block the effort.

10: Oh joy, the rain is getting harder. And not only that – we also have 65mph winds.

8: Anthony Martial cuts inside in signature fashion but doesn’t connect with the effort. His scuffed shot dribbles tamely into the arms of Aaron Ramsdale.

Andreas Pereira is then gifted ample space by this generous Bournemouth side. He can’t capitalise with a wild swipe at it.

5: It’s only been five minutes but I have no idea what Bournemouth are attempting to do here. They haven’t shown any desire to attack, nor have they defended well. Eddie Howe’ side need to liven up before they’re punished.

3: Oh dear… Anthony Martial plays a cute flick to the overlapping Daniel James. He cuts the ball back from the right flank but Andreas Pereira simply falls on the deck when swinging at it. I think slipped when trying to sort his feet out. That could easily have been the opener.

BOURNEMOUTH 0-0 MANCHESTER UNITED

1: Ok, we’re underway at the Vitality Stadium. This match was actually in jeopardy for a while with the rain and wind battering the south coast. It’s still pretty filthy. Proper winter conditions as Anthony Martial decides to crack out his black gloves.

Team news

11:40: Nice and simple team news this weekend with just one change from last week’s Premier League fixtures.

Bournemouth welcome on-loan Liverpool winger Harry Wilson back into the fold with Arnaut Groeneveld dropping out.

Manchester United injury doubts Marcus Rashford, Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire are all included in the starting XI. It’s the same side who beat Norwich last Sunday.

What’s on?

11:25: It’s a ridiculously busy day of Premier League football at Express HQ. And after my 10-hour shift, I get to attend my girlfriends friend’s 1920’s themed birthday party. What a treat…

Anyway, eight fixtures with all the big boys in action.

Arsenal vs Wolves, Aston Villa vs Liverpool, Brighton vs Norwich, Manchester City vs Southampton, Sheffield United vs Burnley, West Ham vs Newcastle and the evening match is Watford vs Chelsea.

Morning…

11:20: Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the Premier League as Manchester United visit Bournemouth.

I trust you all woke up early to watch England get annihilated in the Rugby World Cup final? Wish I hadn’t. And that’s the last I’ll mention of the egg-chasers.

So, whisper it quietly but Manchester United appear to have turned a corner after an erratic campaign so far this season.

The upward curve began when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side took a point from their clash with league leaders Liverpool and has continued by winning their next three matches.

Can Bournemouth, who are suffering the opposite fate having not claimed a victory in four games, reverse their fortunes?

We’ll find out shortly. Standby for the line ups and team news…
