Campbell has been without a club since leaving Sky Bet League Two side Macclesfield Town by mutual consent in August.

Southend currently find themselves in a position of needing to quickly turn their fortunes around, following a poor start to the season.
The Shrimpers are currently second from bottom of League One with just five points taken from 13 games played.
