Due to the overwheming and unprecedented demand, the website crashed and many fans were left hanging and unable to make tehir purchases.
Secret Cinema has issued an official statement clarifying the situation and reassuring fans they will be able to buy their tickets in the very near future.
The Secret Cinema statement said: “To those wishing to purchase tickets to Secret Cinema Presents Blade Runner – The Final Cut.
“Due to overwhelming demand, the surge of traffic has crashed our ticket provider’s entire site globally and all its related events.
“We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. We have postponed this release of tickets.”
Rather than simply relaunching the process, the team has announced they will reveal a new ticket launch date by tomorrow, February 2 at 12 noon.
The statement added: “There are still tickets available and we will notify you with the new release date and time by 12pm (GMT) 2nd February via our social channels and mailing list.”
The original announcement revealed that there will be three ticket types – Orion, Phoenix and Black Galaxy packages – and fans should make sure those attending in groups all have the same ticket level.
