Mourinho has won league titles everywhere throughout his career – at Chelsea, Inter Milan, Porto and Real Madrid.
And he feels he has the nous to make United replicate the side that dominated English football under Sir Alex Ferguson.
Tomorrow’s match, however, is vital.
Newcastle visit Old Trafford having won none of their opening seven matches.
Rafa Benitez’s position at the club has grown uncertain amid the rut.
But the former Liverpool boss would relish the chance to put another nail in Mourinho’s coffin given the history between the duo.
Mourinho has been critical of Benitez throughout his career.
But the Newcastle boss may get the last laugh tomorrow.
