The clip, captured in Texas, the US, shows the moment a radar was completely blotted out by an unknown source.
Another clip shows a green blob forming above Sugar Land, quickly growing in size in a perfect circle formation.
According to Travis Herzog, who is a meteorologist at ABC News, the phenomenon was caused by a flock of birds filling the sky.
But conspiracy theorist Tyler Glockner, who runs YouTube channel secureteam10 disagrees.
He posted a video yesterday speculating it could be something more sinister which was accidentally exposed by the news channel.
“This is HAARP and some kind of weather modification/manipulation technology”
He also pointed out the number of birds needed to cause such an event would have been seen or recorded by someone.
And his video has now racked up more than 350,000 hits in less than 48 hours.
“I am willing to bet there is a power station near the centre of that burst. Some kind of HAARP technology,” one viewer suggested.
Another added: “This is HAARP and some kind of weather modification/manipulation technology.”
And a third simply claimed: “Scary weather manipulation in progress.”

The High-Frequency Active Auroral Research Programme was initiated as a research project between the US Air Force, Navy, University of Alaska Fairbanks and the Defence Advance Research Agency.
Many conspiracists believe the US government is already using the HAARP programme to control weather occurrences through the use of chemtrailing.
Over the years, HAARP has been blamed for generating natural catastrophes such as thunderstorms and power loss as well as strange cloud formations.
But it was actually designed and built by BAE Advance Technologies to help analyse the ionosphere and investigate the potential for developing enhanced technologies.
