The first teaser has been released for “The Morning Show,” starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, and it sounds intense.
The drama series, which will air on Apple TV’s upcoming streaming service this fall, follows the lives of people entrenched in the world of broadcast morning news.
The show’s stars — who also include Steve Carell and Billy Crudup — do not appear in the teaser. Instead, you hear their voices in the background as the camera pans over the set of a show. There’s also a photo of Aniston and Carell’s characters smiling together, as well as scenes of dressing rooms and a rack of blazers. Witherspoon’s voice can be heard saying, “I want to be right, I want to win!,” while Carell says, “I am a journalist!” Aniston, meanwhile, says, “I can guarantee that you are underestimating me.”
Apple’s tagline for the show is, “the news is only half the story.”
A 10-episode second season has already been ordered ahead of the first. Apple has yet to announce a specific release date.
