Final Fantasy 7 Remake fans are set to receive big news from Square Enix on the highly anticipated JRPG revival.
E3 2019 is well and truly underway, and the event has already brought with it some exciting Final Fantasy 7 Remake news.
Over the weekend, a day before the Square Enix E3 conference, the first ever official Final Fantasy 7 concert was held in LA.
Final Fantasy VII A Symphonic Reunion was held at the Dolby Theatre in the run-up up to the Square Enix E3 2019 event.
And as previously predicted in a post by Express.co.uk, during the FF7 concert major Final Fantasy 7 Remake news dropped.
A brand new trailer for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake was showcased during the concert and the release date for the highly anticipated game was revealed.
The Final Fantasy 7 Remake has a release date of March 3 2020 on PS4, the new trailer revealed.
It’s expected that a full reveal for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake will take place during the Square Enix E3 2019 event.
This conference is kicking off at 6pm pacific time on Monday June 10, which is 2am BST on Tuesday June 11 for fans in the UK.
And ahead of the Square Enix E3 event the rumour mill is in overdrive about what Final Fantasy 7 Remake news could be announced.
It’s possible that Square Enix may reveal the Final Fantasy 7 Remake is coming to the Xbox One.
At the moment the Final Fantasy 7 Remake is only confirmed as coming to the PS4.
However, it could be a timed exclusive as opposed to a fully-fledged console exclusive.
The initial Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer said “play it first on PlayStation 4”, which seemed to suggest it would come to other platforms later on.
And in the run-up to E3 2019 an online retailer may have leaked that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake is coming to Xbox One as well.
The GameStop Ireland website has a listing for an Xbox One version of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
This listing has yet to be taken down and has been online for over a week.
It remains to be seen if the listing is simply a placeholder in case a port gets announced, or if the retailer has more concrete insider information.
Elsewhere Final Fantasy 7 Remake fans have been left wondering whether the JRPG revival is still episodic or not.
After the FF7 Remake re-emerged after three and a half years in May during a State of Play broadcast, Square Enix issued a telling press release.
The Japanese release said that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake will still be coming in separate parts.
However, fans have been left wondering if Square later changed their minds about this.
As Twitter user Wario64 pointed out, the FF7 Remake press release that was launched this week made no mention of the game being episodic.
Wario64 tweeted: “Final Fantasy VII Remake press release makes no mention of it being split in parts.
“We should learn more tomorrow night during the Square Enix E3 showing”.
It remains to be seen what Square Enix’s plans are for the FF7 Remake, but fans don’t have much longer to wait with their conference fast approaching.
