Solo movie trailer: What time will TEASER air during SUPER BOWL on Sunday? | Films | Entertainment

It’s been a long wait.

The Han Solo standalone is due to hit cinemas in May but there has not been a single official image, teaser or trailer.

To say fans are concerned is an understatement but after numerous false starts (rather like Amrican Football itself) it looks like teh ball is finally in play.

Almost every major media and social nedia outlet is convinced that the first Solo movie footage will be shown on Super Bowl Sunday.

But will this be a teaser or a full trailer – at a reputed $5million per 30 seconds of air time –  and when can fans (football loving and otherwise) expect to see their first glimpse of the Lucasfilm and Disney blockbuster?

This week director Ron Howard tweeted: “Midway thru a long flight. Back in the #Solo editing rooms now. Btw, who’s gonna win #SuperBowl2018?”

He then retweeted a fan replying: “I see what you did there”, and another who tellingly wrote: “Who cares I’m going to be watching GMA Monday. Need my rest.”

This is being seen as confirmation that the Super Bowl will feature a short teaser of around 30 seconds on Sunday night, with the main trailer arriving during Good Morning America on Monday.

This year’s game will be broadcast on NBC at 6.30pm Eastern Standard Time on Sunday, February 4.

That is 11.30pm in the UK.

The broadcast lasts approximately four hours.

During the 2014 Super Bowl, for example, it was calculated the there were just 12.06 minutes of actual play.

As well as the non-play time spent on pitch and numerous replays of action shown during the broadcast there is also a long half-item show, which this year features Justin Timberlake.

A typical NFL game can feature up to 20 advertising breaks with over 100 commercials.
