Fortnite Season Battle Pass: How much does it cost and when will it start? | Gaming | Entertainment

The new Fortnite Season Battle Pass will be arriving on February 21st, or the 22nd and will include a host of new cosmetic items.

One of the big questions fans are asking is just how much the new Fortnite Battle Pass will cost during Season 3.

Epic have now confirmed that the Season 3 Battle Pass will be 950 V-Bucks, and will include a total of 100 tiers, with Space being the theme.

They have also revealed that Fortnite will not be offering the Battle Pass as a real money purchase, although V-Bucks can still be bought from online stores.

Each tier can be purchased for 150 V-Bucks, which can be earned by completing PvE Challenges, Weekly Quests and by logging into the game.

Any V-Bucks earned/bought in Save the World or Battle Royale can be spent in the other game modes.

Fortnite Season 2 looks scheduled to end on February 21, which could mean a Season 3 February 22 launch for UK players.

It was announced that Fortnite Season 2 was being extended by around a day earlier this week.

Here’s more on those Weekly Challenges coming to Fortnite this week: “Each week a new set of seven challenges unlock, replacing the Season 2 Battle Pass daily challenges.

“Weekly Challenges stack and can be completed any time before the season ends, so if you buy a pass mid-season you’ll still have access to all of the previous Weekly Challenges.

“You can complete four out of the seven Weekly Challenges to unlock your rewards, so choose the challenges that best fit your style.”

30 new tiers have been added to the Fortnite Season 3 Battle Pass, which is 30 more than included in Season 2.

Epic says it will still take the same amount of time to level up, which should mean more loot to collect overal.

A new Battle Bundle is also being released, include a Battle Pass + 25 Tiers (2800 V-Bucks).

Epic have also confirmed that since there are more levels in Season 3, it will cost more to buy your way to the end of the Battle Pass.

“For the first 70 tiers you’ll receive 70 items, just like last season.  The added 30 tiers in Season 3 offer more loot than before,” Epic explains.

“We have designed the boosts and challenges so you can complete the 100 tiers of the Season 3 in the same time that it took you to complete the 70 tiers of Season 2.”

Fortnite currently offers a free-to-play Battle Royale mode and a Save the World PvE mode.
