Winterfest is drawing to a close and there still seems sometime before Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 is scheduled to begin.
So it’s the perfect time to start asking when does Season 1 end and can we expect some fireworks before the changeover?
Epic Games has made Fortnite Season 1 of Chapter 2 one of the longest on record, with the original end date scheduled for December 2019.
But that timetable was ripped up last year, leaving fans with plenty of time on their hands before the usual beat would return to the game.
WHEN DOES FORTNITE CHAPTER 2 SEASON 1 END?
While some mystery still remains over the exact date, we now have a pretty gauge on when to expect the first seasonal changeover of 2020.
Epic Games began Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 1 on October 14, making it one of the longest-running segments of the game since it first adopted the current system.
And now it looks we have a good idea on when to expect things to be refreshed by Epic Games on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Switch and Mobile.
According to the latest reports, Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 will end on Saturday, February 15, 2020.
But for now, Epic Games has only stated that the Season 1 Battle Pass will be finished by February 6, 2020.
The Feb 15 date has been shared by data miners, who sourced the latest information from the Fortnite API.
So there is still wiggle room for this final date to change and for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 to end a little sooner.
It would make sense for the big changeover not to happen on a weekend, as weekdays are usually favoured by the Epic Games dev team.
But until we have more information on the subject, this is the best we have to gauge when Fortnite Battle Royale will be changing.
WHEN IS THE FORNITE CHAPTER 2 SEASON 2 RELEASE DATE?
From previous releases made by Epic Games, we would estimate that a Saturday would not be chosen as the day to launch a new Season in Fortnite.
Epic Games may instead choose to launch Fortnite Season 2 the following week, or change its current plans and end Season 1 a few days earlier.
“With a new year comes new beginnings,” the latest message from Epic Games reads.
“Last year we celebrated 14 Days of Fortnite over the holidays. This year we’ve got even more content for you to unwrap, including new game features, free rewards and a live experience that you won’t want to miss.
“To prepare for all the new holiday-themed updates, we will be extending Chapter 2’s first season into early February. Get ready for winter!”
Fans will be hoping that Epic Games sticks to its pledge to launch Chapter 2 in early February, which would mean events happening before the dates we currently have.
A new Fortnite Battle Royale event is expected to fill the current void left by the end of Winterfest.
A few clues have started popping up, suggesting that something is being worked on by the Epic team.
There’s a good chance this will be scheduled for January, followed by the build-up to Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 to in early February.
