“French girl” style is so 2018. This year it’s all about the Scandinavian cool girl.
Ushering in the new Nordic trend are the sherbet-hued looks of Copenhagen-based cult brand Saks Potts.
The fashion line was founded by Cathrine Saks and Barbara Pott in 2014, but has lately become an Instagram sensation and a go-to for the likes of Kendall Jenner, Katy Perry and mini sartorialist in the making North West.
Rapper Cardi B first debuted her inner Scandi style back in September, donning the brand’s lime green “Foxy” coat, which coordinated quite nicely with her seafoam shoulder-length locks. She more recently wore a head-to-toe palette of the brand’s punchy sunset hues: an oversized cropped puffer jacket with matching one-shoulder top and pants.
And Emily Ratajkowski chose one of the design duo’s custom creations to attend Marc Jacobs and Char Defrancesco’s April nuptials: a silk satin marigold halter dress with plunging neckline.
But it’s the brand’s colorful outerwear that celebrities are coveting most.
Kendall Jenner cycled through the streets of NYC in the label’s green version plus a gray turtleneck, mom jeans and chunky sneakers. Victoria’s Secret model Elsa Hosk and singer Katy Perry prefer the lavender patent leather style, while Lady Gaga likes her Saks Potts jacket in classic black and model turned designer Alexa Chung is a tan fan.
Frugal fashionistas better start saving — these toppers come with a hefty price tag. Prices start at around $900 for the label’s short cropped leather style and $1,500 for a long belted coat.
