The discovery of the hand, which has eight-inch long fingers, sparked a wave of conspiracy theories last year.
Paranormal researcher Brien Foerster, who runs Hidden Inca Tours, claimed to have been passed the object by a group of cagers exploring desert tunnels in the South American country.
Mr Foerster claims the explorers found the hand next to an elongated humanoid skull and believes it is a genuine sample.
It is alleged X-rays of the objects by scientists reportedly concluded the hand was not human or from any known animal on Earth.
The hand and skull contained “real animal bone and skin tissues”, Mr Foerster insisted.
Since the shock find in January 2017, the hand and skull have reportedly been sent to the USA for DNA and carbon testing, reports UFO Sightings.
However many people have cast doubt on the claims by Mr Foerster who said he found an unusual winged small humanoid corpse in Mexico.
There are also no photographs of the tunnel in Peru and the clay-covered sarcophagi (stone coffin) next to where the hand was found.
It has sparked claims that this is an elaborate hoax.
Mr Foerster however is convinced the hand is of a real sample.
He said: “It was X-rayed and examined by physicians here in Cusco who stated that it clearly was not a human, but was a life form of some kind.”
Another three-fingered mummy dug up in Peru could be a new species of human, researchers have said in a shocking new claim.
More than 40,000 Americans have taken out insurance against being abducted by aliens.
The mysterious Nazca mummy could be the “most important discovery of the 21st century”, Brit researcher Steve Mara has said.
DNA tests conducted on the mummy called Maria – a three fingered female with an elongated head – revealed she could be 1,800 years old.
Reportedly the mummy was found to be 98.5% – similar to humans – but the rest of the genetics is unknown.
It is thought she could be a new species of human.
