Those are the thoughts of Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher.
Pogba has suffered with injuries this term and was hauled off by Mourinho after an hour in the 2-0 defeat away to Tottenham on Wednesday.
The Frenchman has struggled to reach the high levels he set himself during his time at Juventus where he readily contributed goals and assists and won games for his old club almost single-handedly.
And Carragher thinks Pogba remains Mourinho’s biggest ‘conundrum’ going forward.
“This is Jose Mourinho’s team,” Carragher told Sky Sports’ The Debate.
“He hasn’t been able to change them in the 12 months he’s been there.
“He still has the conundrum of what he does with Paul [Pogba].
“There’s nowhere you can play him in centre midfield sitting in a two in a big game.
“It’s not going to change next season.
“He’s got a serious lack of discipline he’s got great ability and skill.
“The fact Mourinho hasn’t been able to change him is a big problem going forward.”
United will hope to get back to winning ways at home to Huddersfield tomorrow (3pm).
