Christian news: Fears of apocalypse over ‘bleeding’ Jesus tomb

For several years, footage has emerged online of idle statues of the mother of Jesus seemingly crying.

The latest chilling clip came just last week.

Churchgoers claim the bronze statue’s tears smelt like “flowers” during a service at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hobbs, New Mexico.

But even weirder sightings have occurred in the past.

A clip taken in Mexico back in 2016 showed a similar statue appearing to cry blood.

And the repeated happenings have started to spread fears among certain Catholic groups.

EERIE: Footage has emerged of the Virgin Mary seemingly crying online

Posts in site www.catholic.org have intensified in recent weeks around the Virgin Mary weeping stories.

One writer claimed it was a sign of the Virgin Mary “praying for the conversion of hearts”, adding: “We must do all we can to ensure our own hearts are ready for we know not the hour when the Master will return.”

That “return” concept hints towards the book of Revelations in the Bible which claims Jesus will return to Earth – signalling Judgement Day.

Not everyone has been convinced by the bizarre phenomenon, though.

Sceptics often point out that making a fake weeping statue is relatively easy and often provide examples of such incidents being hoaxes.

But there are other bizarre phenomena that continue to raise questions over Judgement Day.

Back in April, blood was spotted leaking from the tomb of Jesus Christ, according to claims online.

The footage showed the Stone of Anointing in Jerusalem – the site which Christians believe is where Jesus’ body was prepared for burial.

On the top of the object was a mysterious red substance.

Thousands of stunned YouTube users commented on the clip after it went viral, with many claiming it was the sign of the “Passover”.

“Last day of Passover…The truth is in front of people and they just deny it,” one wrote.

Others agreed – pointing to the Biblical book of Exodus, which Christians believe shows how God told Moses to paint lamb’s blood on their doors so their oldest child would not die.

And blood also plays a role in the book of Revelations as it talks about Jesus’ Second Coming.

It describes Christ as appearing in “a robe dipped in blood”.

But fears of the eerie footage being a warning to present-day Christians have been shut down by other users.

They point out that the Stone of Anointing has had a reddy surface for some time and that the footage was simply an old clip from 2015 re-circulated.
